Affinity. Companionship. A place where no one feels alone. This has always been at the heart of Young Cancer and is the foundation for the collaborations between Falsterbo Horse Show and Ung Cancer. Collaborations that grow stronger and stronger every year and have contributed to an increasing number of young adult cancer patients getting the support and help they are entitled to.
This is the third consecutive year that Ung Cancer is the charity partner of Falsterbo Horse Show.
‘This is the third year in a row that we have the honour of participating. Thanks to our collaboration with Falsterbo Horse Show, we are able to reach out and offer our support to an increasing number of young adult cancer patients and their families.’ ‘This means a lot to an awful lot of people’, say Camilla Tuneberg, Secretary-General of Ung Cancer.
The organisation was founded in 2010 and has since then worked to improve the living conditions for young adult cancer patients aged between 16 and 30 – among other things by creating both web based and physical meeting places, offering financial support for individual rehabilitation as well as organising festivals and camps.
‘The enthusiasm of Ung Cancer rubs off on you.’ ‘They take a very positive and proactive approach which suits us perfectly and feels just right.’ ‘The more people involved, the better it gets.’ ‘So if we can get involved and help in any way, then that is what we would like to do.’ ‘Naturally, we see this as a long-standing collaboration’, explains Jana Wannius, Chairman of Falsterbo Horse Show.
The Ung Cancer exhibition stand will be in place in the event area from the start of Falsterbo Horse Show on 2 July until it ends on 10 July. Beading workshops will be held in the Family Corner at the following times:
Tuesday 5 July at 12 noon – 3 p.m.
Thursday 7 July at 12 noon – 3 p.m.
Friday 8 July at 12 noon – 3 p.m.
Saturday 9 July at 12 noon – 3 p.m.
