Meydan continues as sponsor at Falsterbo

Friday March 26, 2010 | Elisabeth von Schrowe Dubai-based Meydan Group is sponsoring the FEI Nations Cup™ at Falsterbo Horse Show for the second year running. The series is show jumping’s premier league, and brings together the world’s nine best teams. The Meydan FEI Nations Cup™ is the international equestrian federation FEI’s most richly traditional competition. The series comprises eight rounds spread across prestigious European venues. Falsterbo Horse Show has been one of the organisers since 2009. Meydan Group's continuing sponsorship is highly significant, according to Jana Wannius, Show Director for Falsterbo Horse Show. "The Nations Cup is important for the development of the sport, and a strong sponsor is obviously good for show jumping as a whole," he says. ”For Falsterbo, it means we have attracted the world’s best riders and horses. We are very pleased to be continuing our partnership with Meydan Group.” Meydan Group LLC is behind Meydan City in Dubai, a new district being built round the “world’s ultimate racecourse”. The racecourse was opened in January, and is the United Emirates’ new landmark. Last year, Sweden finished seventh in the Meydan FEI Nations Cup™.
